These are just a few pics from the architectural renderings. We Can’t wait to see the finished building (sometime this summer).

Friends of the Casa de Oro Library Bookstore: We will have our own shop. Volunteer opportunities: We will need help with staffing our bookstore Monday through Saturday. Training provided to help with customer service, sales, and processing book donations.  Your gently used book donations are welcome. All proceeds remain in our community and will be used to fund library programs.

Casa de Oro - Mt. Helix Garden Collective: Sponsored by our Friends organization, we will host quarterly Garden Expos in partnership with other local community nonprofits. Enjoy speakers, hands-on demonstrations, garden crafts, plant exchanges and garden swag. Volunteer opportunities: Day of the event logistics, greeters, promotion, and support for activities. 

Casa de Oro - Mt. Helix Art Exhibits: The Friends will showcase local artists with exhibits, receptions, artist talks and workshops. Look for your invitation to meet the artists.

Meet the Author Series: We are looking for local authors to present their work.

What do we know about our new library?!

County officials and community members broke ground in February on the new library to be located at 9610 Campo Road. See pictures of the groundbreaking below!

The approximately 12,000 sq.ft. facility is slated to be completed in 2026 and will include:

  • 2,000 sq ft Community Room with after-hours access for community events

  • High-speed internet access and Wi-Fi throughout the branch

  • Study rooms

  • Teen area with study rooms

  • Children's area with early-literacy equipment

  • Patio space

  • Public computers plus laptops for check-out

  • Friends of the Library Bookstore

  • Designated parking lot
